Koukaki

Situated centrally – on the foot of the Acropolis hill – but maintaining a neighborhood feeling, Koukaki has developed a loyal crowd. Its quirky residents, with distinctive tastes, call for shops that offer them the best they can get within a short walking distance. Surrounded by an eye-pleasing architecture, the casual stroller can have breakfast, sip coffee, find books, buy their groceries or run into chance encounters. All within a ten-minute walk!

Super packed bookshop with almost everything. First, I discovered the main floor of literature and photo books. Some old city guides, but I bought them all so I doubt if you 'll find any, but check the 30% sale. Then I found out about the basement, full of stationery. Yes, folders, stickers, calligraphy notebooks, shiny wrapping papers. Want more? Lettraset sets (and greek), vernacular wall calendars and if you dig into further you'll even find old ladybird editions! The first floor has children books, but I must tell you I've found some old school books like trendy fanzines!
