Built on the site of a legendary folk artist, Nellie Mae Rowe (1900-1982), Hotel Indigo takes many cues from her eclectic style as well as the larger history and lifestyle of Vinings itself. As Vinings was largely shaped by it's relationship to the railroad cutting through it's hills and the ferries and barges that steamed past on the Chattahoochee, Indigo used these and other influences to define the style on the interior. From floor tiles mimicking railroad patterns, to glass circles inspired by Nellie's own work, to a mural of a mule in the bar that was a character in it's own right in nellie's family, to scenes of Vinings on the walls and much more, the materials and style of Indigo reflect the history and charm of this village and the powerful personalities who have made it home.
