Since receiving the State designation as an Arts & Entertainment District in 2002, Station North continues to be one of Baltimore’s most culturally prolific neighborhoods. Bordered between east and west Baltimore, Station North is home to a diverse mix of restaurants, theatres, galleries, and artists studios.

Known as The Charles by most Baltimoreans, The Charles Theatre is the city's oldest movie house. Part arthouse cinema the Charles also features big budget hollywood films. After undergoing renovations in 1999 the theatre added four new screening rooms equipped with stadium seating.
