Poble Nou

Back in the day, Poblenou was known as the “Catalonian Manchester” for being the centre of Catalan and Iberian industry. After the 1992 Olympics, the city decided to implement the 22@ district plan. The project basically meant to renew the area, which had been left pretty abandoned, in to a central business district. Nowadays, that old cluster of factories and working class residences has evolved in to the city’s tech and innovation district. Artists, creatives and young professionals from around the world have converted the former factories and warehouses into unique lofts, galleries, shops and co-working spaces.

The Skye Coffee Co. is located within the 88 co-working space of Poblenou, and it’s simply beautiful. The space stands out due to its clean, minimalistic interior that contrasts with original industrial elements of the warehouse. This juxtaposition of new and old is also reflected in the main feature: a1972 citroen HY, famously known as "le tube”, that has been turned in to a food truck/coffe shop. We higly recommend stopping by in the morning to enjoy their oat breakfast. Co-working architecture and design offices are located at the back of this unique space, making it no coincidence that every detail has been cared for down to the t.
