Quinta Camacho

This quaint and picturesque neighborhood is situated in the midlands of Colombia. Its preserved 19th century Spanish-colonial style architecture amidst a rising skyline of new business offices, museums and galleries, shops, and cafes is making Quinta Camacho an up-and-coming international cultural hub. Not to mention, the booming restaurant district, home to world-renowned chefs and specialty cuisine, and lush green hills as the backdrop for it all.

A place that feels right out of the local market, Abasto is probably the best place to go for breakfast in Bogotá. They have a large variety of regional plates, including different kinds of Arepas (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arepa), specially try the "guajira", "arepa de huevo" and "arepa de mote con chorizo". Everything feels freshly prepared and delicious, they also have a local shop with souvenirs and different things for your pantry. They serve lunch and dinner too, you can start off with some "empanadas" and then go for the roast chicken, it is incredible (and try the other plates in the menu too). This is the place to go contemporary local on busy Bogota.
