This traditionally Slavic neighborhood has a storied history, starting out as farmland before turning into the culturally diverse hotspot it is now. Home to both a waterfront of warehouses and close-knit family communities to the East, the area has seen a burst of new businesses and curious dwellers alike.
Alameda is a neighborhood bar and restaurant located in north Greenpoint off of Franklin Street. This place is best known for its large commanding bar in the middle of the space. It is well lit and well serviced. Grab a cocktail or a specialty beer and pair it with a small-dish style food item. If you're hungry try the pimento cheese fries, but make sure you share.
