This historic district is home to both old and new — century-old cathedrals share real estate with trendy cafes. As the traditionally working-class Eastern European enclave draws in younger residents, with it comes creativity in the form of forward-thinking restaurants, innovative cocktail bars and specialty boutiques. But that's not all there is — the spirit of Ukrainian Village endures through its welcoming accessibility.
The perfect choice morning, noon or night.
Filipino breakfast staple that is a can’t miss.
Say what you want about the culinary scene in Chicago, but the north-side has a serious lack of Jamaican food. Don’t worry mon, UKV’s Mr. Brown’s Lounge has got your back. Serving up a wicked assortment of jerk spices, curried meats and rum paired with a non-stop rotation of reggae tunes, Mr. Brown’s Lounge is worth the trip. We prefer Tuesday’s Jerk Chicken special for $9 and a few rounds of Red Stripe, but we’ve heard great things about the late night DJ sets as well.
