From a Ugandan dialect, "Akola" means "she works". Inspired by a meeting with a Ugandan woman, a local SMU grad's vision to give back to women in need has changed thousands of lives in Uganda and in Dallas. This shop features jewelry: horn and beaded necklaces, colorful bracelets, earrings and more, hand-made by women in these areas, giving them a vocation and uplifting them, their families and communities. The jewelry and accessories are truly beautiful from the inside out. It's a great place to be inspired and 100% of product sales are given back to the mission to economically empower women.
