Stare Misto

Stare Misto is the oldest part of Kyiv. It was founded in 10th century by Vladimir the Great. Than destroyed by Mongol invasion and rebuilt again in 19th century. Here you can find historical architecture sites, governmental institutions, as well as embassies of foreign countries. It is a great part of Kyiv to walk around. Talented youth like to spend their time here. There are lots of places to eat and drink nearby the ruins of the Golden Gate. The Yaroslavov Val street became home to many “speak easy” bars.

Yaroslava

The “Yaroslava” bakery, is one of the oldest food spots in the city. Here you can buy very delicious pastry to go, or even enjoy it with a cup of cocoa or tea. There is also a cafe serving Ukrainian food and the restaurant in the basement. The interior is decorated in old slavic style - wooden tables and forged chairs. There’s also a warrior in authentic armor standing by the entrance. The walls are painted with Kyiv’s most interesting sights. The bakery’s assortment is wide: pastry with meat, cheese, liver, potatoes, cabbage, apple, cherry, blueberry, etc. A cinnamon bun is a must-try.
