The Alex opened its doors in 1925 as a Vaudeville house and movie palace and is now a registered historic landmark. The theatre’s entrance is hard to miss as you roll North on Brand Boulevard, with its neon lights and sky high protruding tower. The marquee stays packed with local acts and film classics, as well as ballet and orchestral numbers. This LA theatre has seen opening lines for films as huge as Star Wars, which is why it's so awesome to still see long lines of excited theatre attendees.
