Situated on the land of conquistador Hernan Cortez in a repurposed paper factory, the Soumaya Museum in Plaza Loreto contains a broad body of work ranging from pre-hispanic Mesoamerican art european bronze sculptures and commercial Mexican illustration. The Soumaya collection is widely known for being housed in the beautiful Fernando Romero building in Polanco. However, before that building was constructed, the collection called Plaza Loreto it's home.
