South Street Seaport

South Street Seaport is a historic district with some of the oldest architecture in downtown Manhattan. While many associate it with the former Fulton Fish Market, today it is revitalized with restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, live music and seasonal events, making it a destination for locals and tourists alike.

Pier 16 captures NYC’s past seafaring days when sea dogs roamed its piers. This throwback experience features one of the last wrought-iron schooners, the Wavertree; the 1907 lightship, Ambrose, which safely led ships from the Atlantic into the harbor; the fishing schooner, Lettie G. Howard; the 1930 tugboat, W.O. Decker; and the powerful, four-masted barque, Peking. Oh yeah, there's a park too!
