Palio may not be right on Hawthorne, but it’s worth the detour into the unique old Ladd’s Addition neighborhood, which huddles around a charming little circular park and roundabout. Palio is perched just across the street, a cozy and quiet location to sip a cappuccino while studying, or to bring a date for a shared slice of chocolate cake. Either way, you can easily disappear for awhile here.
