Park Avenue

Established in 1852, Park Avenue was initially designed as a service street for the wealthy residents of East Avenue. Lined with dress shops, groceries, and hardware stores, the area soon expanded to become one of Rochester’s earliest suburbs. Over the years, the area has seen its share of ups and downs. However, today it is an urban neighborhood full of energy and vitality. Stroll down its streets and you’ll find the home of summer festivals, local artists, live music, good eats, green spaces, and trendy shopping. Park Avenue is the place to be.

Wander through this softly lit and quiet gallery, and you’ll see traditional tribal statues and fetishes in wood, bronze, and terra cotta. Go through a small hallway to the café and enjoy some expresso, gelato, or pastries. But, please – no cell phone, device, or internet usage in the café! Jambetat wants you to just enjoy its ambiance.
