At first glance, there doesn't seem to be anything exceptional about this place. Pharaoh's Donuts is squeezed into a corner underneath a parking garage and the vibe is pretty stale. But what it lacks in ambiance and aesthetics, it more than makes up for with a friendly staff and mouthwatering donuts. Just take a minute to watch for yourself as the donuts are rolled and cut by hand before popping one of those pillowy soft delicacies in your mouth. You'll realize that these just might be the best donuts in St. Louis. And since you're not going there to be pretentious, do yourself a favor and try just a regular, plain glazed donut. Simple? Yes. And totally amazing at the same time.
