Sydney truly is a dynamic, cosmopolitan city with stunning beaches, world class restaurants and bars as well as some kick arse spacing in the CBD. This is not that review! Our Sydney is a snap shot of what we love doing from the hard to find small bars, hidden views of the harbour, out of the way eating and retail stores we frequent. Sydney has so much to offer but if you dig a little just beneath the surface you may just find a hidden jewel.
Arguably the oldest Pub in Australia with character to burn.
Located in the Royal Botanic Gardens, the eel pond is surrounded by flower gardens, picturesque scenery and picnics. Walk to the edge of the pond and look closely on the surface of the water to see fish and eels gathering to swoop on whatever is thrown in. The eel pond is emptied occasionally only for eels to return - a mystery to the park rangers.
