Beaches

Hanging out at the beach is typically an enjoyable experience. But what goes on before or after hitting the shore? The Beaches area is often overlooked because many assume it’s restricted to only Woodbine beach. In reality, this area offers much more than the conventional water-and-sand people are used to. Tons of local independent businesses take pride in helping Torontonians achieve their ‘beach bod.’ You are guaranteed guilt-free chow-downs in this neighbourhood due to its health-conscious vibe. The best part? It’s easy to spark up a conversation in this area, since you’re in the turf where everyone goes to chill out.

If you ever drive or bike by this hidden gem, you could almost mistaken it for a castle. The majority of the plant is currently under construction until 2018, but you can still roam around, check out the view of Lake Ontario, or just relish in some peace and quiet in this practically-abandoned space. It's a little bit mysterious and eerie, but it's definitely worth checking out.
