Roncesvalles

Affectionately called “Roncy”, this friendly, pint-sized community tucked way west is historically rooted in Polish heritage. Authentic kielbasa, perogies and plum donuts can still be devoured in the strip’s few original bakeries and butcheries. Roncy has since evolved into a laid-back collision of old-world roots meets new wave makers united by a love for everything local. Happy bonus: Puppies on sidewalks are generally guaranteed.

Two #ladybosses run this shop. One of which is the great granddaughter of Rose, a real coal miner's daughter. Great Grandma Rose also worked at a dress company back in the 30s. Today she'd likely be proud to know the legacy lives on, at a women's fashion boutique on Roncy. The shop has a love for local including makers and designers of mainly the jewelry, clothing, and handbag variety. A few Danish and Parisian labels were spotted as well, which is certainly always welcome.
