Don't mistake Kriterion for a regular arthouse-cinema with a cozy café. This certaintly isn't your average place to watch a movie. Kriterion was founded in 1945 to enable students to finance their studies themselves. 70 years later this is still a non-hierarchical cinema run entirely by students. They offer a wide variety of genres, ranging from edgy arthouse to more accessible films. Their programming doesn't stop there, they also feature many different events, festivals and art expositions.
