Across Atlanta, there are 71 streets with a variation of “Peachtree” in their names, but there is only one true Peachtree – and that’s Peachtree Street. Our main street, Peachtree stretches its long arms from Downtown Atlanta, through the heart of Midtown, up to Buckhead (where its name shifts to Peachtree Road), and onward to Brookhaven and the city’s outskirts. Much of Atlanta was built and grown along Peachtree Street – it’s dotted with historic homes, buildings and landmarks, such as Margaret Mitchell’s home where she wrote Gone With the Wind. Peachtree has been a longtime host to famous holiday parades, the open streets project Atlanta Streets Alive!, as well as the annual 4th of July Peachtree Road Race – which draws 60,000 participants each year. The heartbeat of the city, Peachtree is a continual reflection of the city’s growth and evolution. At Son&Sons, we’re proud to call it home.
