Right in the very center of Atlanta is Midtown. A bustling community of commercial businesses, innovation, retail, and culture; we liken it to being in the heart of it all. Extremely walkable, it is one of the few areas of Atlanta where the streets are built on a natural grid. It’s easily accessible by bike, train, or car – boasting 4 stops along MARTA’s public transit system, and being flanked by the I-75/I-85 highway connector and the Atlanta BeltLine’s newly developed Eastside Trail. In Midtown, you’ll find an amazing range of restaurants, an ever-changing art scene, landmark institutions such as The Woodruff Arts Center and The Fox Theatre, and innovation hubs like Tech Square. All of this is balanced by an expansive display of tidy tree-lined streets and Atlanta’s largest public green space, Piedmont Park.
In 1979, at the height of the California outdoor skate craze, Janice Phillips & Bob Orlowski brought outdoor rollerskating to Atlanta. A full service shop, Skate Escape has been an authorized service center for many well known skate and bicycle companies for over 34 years. Still located at their original location just across the street from Piedmont Park, Skate Escape has lived up to its reputation as the shop that lets the good times roll.
