Nestled in between Ivy League institution Harvard and the science and technology hub that is MIT, Central Square is the melting pot of Cambridge. Constantly bustling with people from all walks of life, regardless of the time of day, the square is packed with ethnic restaurants and is home to one of Boston’s most revered music venues. Be sure to bring some green– a lot of hot spots are cash-only.
Another one of Central Square’s many coffee shops, Andala Café serves Middle Eastern fare and has a lovely selection of teas (and hookah, if you're into that). Also has some nice outdoor seating. A relaxing spot to catch up with a friend on a Sunday afternoon. Good for vegetarians.
