Nestled in between Ivy League institution Harvard and the science and technology hub that is MIT, Central Square is the melting pot of Cambridge. Constantly bustling with people from all walks of life, regardless of the time of day, the square is packed with ethnic restaurants and is home to one of Boston’s most revered music venues. Be sure to bring some green– a lot of hot spots are cash-only.
Cafe 1369 has been brewing up coffees for a while and know how to make you feel at home. The place is hipster-y but not annoyingly so. A good spot to hang out and read/write in your Moleskine journal. Or, I guess, work. Would recommend their tea-based drinks.
