The Navy Yard is a tucked away corner of Brooklyn few people have explored, but this little area is packed full of hidden gems. Small coffee roasters, amazing chicken sandwiches, museums and whiskey distilleries. It's a narrow slice of Brooklyn that's worthy of anyones weekend.
Way more then just your regular bodega
Walt Whitman lived in many places around Brooklyn but this is the last building still standing. He lived here for several years while writing Leaves of Grass. The building has lost it’s luster with a modern day layer of metal siding, but it’s still the very home of one of american’s famous poets.
