Known as the “Gateway to the World,” Albany Park is the most ethnically diverse neighborhood in Chicago. From iconic theatre companies to museums, restaurants to parades to community gardens, our neighborhood is vibrant, alive, and growing. Families come here to take root alongside people who’ve lived here for generations. The small business is alive and thriving in Albany Park—and we love that. The story of Albany Park is the real story of America today.
Next to the Francisco brown line stop, Baker Miller is a family-owned, grab-n-go bakery started by Megan and Dave Miller, formerly of Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits in Logan Square. They mill all their own grain into flour creating unique pastries and breakfast sandwiches from scratch every day. The hard work has paid off as they’ve been semifinalists for the last two years for the James Beard Outstanding Baker Award.
