Sitting bright and pretty at the halfway point on the Portobello Prom is The Little Green Van, which has been pride of place since 2013. Husband and wife team Kirstin and Terry serve up fantastic artisan coffee and homemade cakes from the kermit-coloured Citroen H van from Friday to Sunday every week.
They’re passionate about good coffee and good food. The beans are from local roasters, Artisan Roast, the tea comes from local favourite Eteaket, the cakes and pastries are baked at the nearby Manna House, and the ice cream is from local ice cream producers, Di Rollo. Everything is local, local, local.
Grab a cushion from the back of the van, pop it on the wall, join the queue, and sit back and watch the world go by with a beverage and cake in hand.
