The Bahnhofsviertel in Frankfurt is a weird, memorable place. Sometimes almost international, slightly urban with an exotic and peculiar flair, as you would expect from remote places and Bazaars like in India, Pakistan, Thailand, Ethiopia, Morocco, France, Iran or Croatia. On the other hand the district can be confronting and shocking at times with it’s drastic examples of provinciality, tristesse and social brutality emitted from the bizarre mixture of being the financial district with flash steel and concrete high-rises and at the same time the epicentre of the Rhein-Main sex-industry with loads of shabby brothels, hustling and a very active drug scene. This peculiar mix of culture and lifestyle creates a vitality that you would not find elsewhere in Frankfurt. Generally it really worth to spend some time here – It’s a fantastic, actually very safe and interesting place to be at.

The Maxie Eisen has been in the international press already. The New York Times talked about it in it's round up of the 52 Places to Go in 2014. They have the real-deal pastrami and reuben sandwiches. The place is always packed.
