Situated at the East of Shoreditch, Bethnal Green is a very multicultural neighbourhood where young professionals, Bangladeshi families and English working-class live together. It still has this very unpolished and rough flavour of the East End. Without being considered as trendy and often underrated, Bethnal Green keeps a very unpretentious, authentic and friendly atmosphere, while offering many quality pubs, bars, cafés and restaurants.

The Sun Tavern is a stylish cocktail & whisky bar which also serve Poitin (a traditional Irish alcohol), fine beers and surprisingly great coffee! The place makes me think of a pirates boat. It is quite small, very dark with old brick walls, wooden floor and wooden tables. DJs are playing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and there is always a great vibe here.
