Bloomsbury

Centrally located, yet tucked away from the busy streets of Covent Garden and Oxford street, Bloomsbury has a rich intellectual history and a laid back, local vibe. An eclectic mix of independent bars, coffee shops and restaurants as well as some more leftfield museums makes the area a great place to lose a day or two.

Lamb's Conduit Street

Although we've featured a few places on this street, there's so many others that we thought a quick overview was in order! Eating - great tapas at Cigala, French/Italian at La Gourmandina and traditional British at VATs. Shopping - as well as Folk and Universal Works, there's Oliver Spencer, contemporary takes on classic men's styles, Content Store, a men's multi brand store and Private White VC for made in Manchester menswear. The Langham Gallery has a beautiful collection - check out Mark Egan's wonderful skull paintings. And for literature, Persephone Books reprints neglected fiction and non-fiction by mid-twentieth century women writers.
