Clerkenwell – an ancient parish of London that was once home to the Knights Templar now has a rich design history. Between the creative studios and furniture showrooms you'll find some of the best coffee in London, amazing pubs and food from every corner of the world.

Whilst not normally on the tourist route, this treasure trove is worth a look around for the practically minded magpies amongst us.
