Often over-looked in favour of its cooler big sister up the road, Haggerston Park is a quieter (some may even say better looking), family friendly alternative to London Fields. Inside the stoned walls of the park, you feel pleasantly removed from the traffic of Hackney and with its small pond and wild reeds, it is the closest you will feel to being in the countryside so close to Shoreditch. Running alongside the sports grounds there are a series of woodland paths which can lead you to Hackney City Farm, the BMX track and Goldsmiths Row, all of which lead up to Broadway Market.
