Referred to as the Central Park of Los Angeles, Griffith Park is one of the largest urban parks in North America with 4,000+ acres on the end of the Santa Monica Mountains. Within it are lush hidden gardens, views of the whole city below & some of the best hiking trails around. There is something for everyone in Griffith Park & no trip to LA is complete without a visit.

Open on Saturdays & Sundays, the Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round was brought to Griffith Park in 1937 & is one of the few historic carousels still in operation. What makes this one so unique is the original band organ & the story that goes with it. Walt Disney was inspired by the carousel to build Disneyland & the park bench where he sat is still there.
