Salamanca

Madrid has many hearts, and Salamanca is one of them. No to mistake with the city of the same name, beloved by worldwide students. Once renowned as a posh and conservative neighbourhood, it is still in a way, but waaaaay cooler, greener and open-minded than 10 years ago. Here stands Calle Castelló, the unofficial 'design' street of the city, where you will find design shops, design studios, furniture shops, audiovisual studios and the biggest park in town. If we go for stereotypes, we could say that this is where Bobo's install themselves after geting rid of Chueca/Malasaña... and shopping addicts of course.

In the rear part of Salamanca, next to a park where peacocks mingle with residents, you'll find this graphic garage door hiding what Manolo created in 2013: his furniture brand. A way to join his passion for design and crafts. Based on completely local production, he cherishes the sense of detail and quality and as a result, fills his garage with beautiful sceneries. Say hi from me if you visit him heading to a walk at Fuente del Berro park ; )
