Centro Historico was were the Spaniards began building what is now modern Mexico City, and since then it has been the main venue for Mexican folklore. With an area occupying 668 blocks, Centro Historico is a living organism on a non-stop transformation and renovation. Pasaguero has been the nest of both established and up-and-coming musicians of all genres for a long time. During the early 2000's, it was one of the key underground escapes for the national scene, and since then it has become the respected institution that it is today. The venue has recently been extended to include a restaurant/bar with Mexican dishes and a lot of salsas cleverly packed on old Mexican soda bottles. Virtually any respectable band or performer has been up in this stage at some point in their careers, so if you are looking to experience new acts or the next big thing you should visit Pasaguero without a doubt.
