Little Havana

Little Havana is widely viewed as Miami’s cultural epicenter. Home to both Cuban exiles and transplants from Central and South America, the neighborhood vibrates with natural energy. Located just west of Downtown Miami and Brickell, this bustling barrio offers an escape from the more expected parts of town, providing an unapologetically authentic taste of Miami. Along Southwest 8th Street, visitors will find a number of historical landmarks, cigar shops, storefronts, and—most importantly—restaurants serving Café Cubano.

In the famous, charismatic words of Celia Cruz, "Azucar!" Just like Celia, this small ice cream wonder has taken the neighborhood and the city of Miami by storm. The small, colorful shop has become a tradition for Miami locals in a short period of time. Quickly, the Azucar team has broadened its reach beyond the confines of the small parlor. It now services and distributes its unique array of ice cream flavors to a number of locations around the city. The venue is virtually impossible to go unnoticed, with its two-story ice cream cone facade and neon sign. Try a simple but bold mix of Vanilla with a shot of Cuban coffee or venture a bit further with an Avocado and Platano Maduro mix. If you can't decide, go with the fan-favorite, "Abuela Maria®"— a blend of guava, cream cheese and crumbled Maria crackers mixed into ice cream.
