Mom's open-faced turkey sandwich never tasted so good. Hi-Lo Diner's brand-new-yet-vintage aesthetic is welcoming and palpably nostalgic -- with their blue vinyl booths and a long, stainless steel bar-top that spans the length of the 1957 diner-car. The façade of this new Longfellow greasy-spoon made its journey to Minneapolis from it's original home in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania. These days it beacons the masses to enjoy an ice-cream cocktail or a taste of their house specialty, a "Hi-Top," one of a number of savory or sweet pairings balanced atop a donut-like puff of bread. Definitely a place to take your date for late-night breakfast and drinks among the buzz of those killer neon lights.
