North Loop

Nestled between Downtown Minneapolis and the Mississippi riverfront is a cultural hub where creatives, chefs, artists and entrepreneurs have gathered to hone their craft. Once home to booming warehouses, railroad yards and factories, the North Loop is now Minneapolis's fastest-growing neighborhood with many of its old industrial buildings converted to indie shops, trendy restaurants and sleek dwelling. As development has accelerated throughout the area, every day provides a new opportunity for discovery in this vibrant and gritty playground.

The first of three locations in the Twin Cities, Black Sheep turns out coal-fired pies whose crusts are expertly crisped and ingredients are whimsical yet compatible. My favorite is Number 11 – Persian Beef, Tomato, Feta & Harissa. And if you're tired, hungover, or simply not in the mood to put on pants, don't worry – they deliver (although you may want to put on pants).
