A former industrial hinterland located between the Mile End and Parc-Extension neighbourhoods, Mile-Ex is a thriving enclave of artists, small businesses, adventurous restaurateurs, as well as the city's more cutting-edge architecture and design studios. The area carries a raw authenticity that's hard to find in other parts of town.

Looking for the perfect spot to enjoy a beer or cocktail on a sunny day? Head over to 'Platz where you’ll find a mix of young studio folk, local artists and other outdoor drinking enthusiasts. This beer garden, reminiscent of Berlin’s minimalist and trendy beer scene is only open during the warmer months. Located in the Vieux Montreal brewery, Alexandraplatz opens its oversized garage doors in the late afternoon and it starts to buzz around the 5—7 happy hour. A few weekends each month, food trucks and artisans take over the street. Summer in Montreal would not be the same without 'Platz!
