Artist Lysanne Pépin was originally using the space at the corner of Saint-Pierre and Saint-Paul as a combined studio and living space. When she began hanging her art by the window, passersby thought it to be a gallery, and came in inquiring about her pieces. Eventually, she also began displaying clothes, and Espace Pépin was born. Though the boutique does feature clothing made by local designers, the bulk of the collection comes from Europe, and features on-trend shoes, coats and even activewear. Pépin eventually turned her hand to home decor, and now runs a second space dedicated to that craft just down the street from her original boutique, complete with snack and coffee bar.
