Chinatown & The Loft District

The Friendship Arch welcomes you into the heart of Chinatown. It's the place in Philly to grab some great diverse cuisine, whether it's at the best dim sum place or your favorite Reading Terminal vendor. It's right in downtown Philadelphia, and easy to get to and from. When you're feeling full of the culture, hop on the 47 Septa bus and head on over to the Loft District. There you'll find history from Philly's industrial era. Some of the best sights, restaurants, and music venues are nestled into this up and coming neighborhood.

Open Friday through Sunday, the Poe House is a great place to get acquainted with one of America’s most prolific mystery and macabre writers. Did you know he wrote “The Tell-Tale Heart” and “The Black Cat” in this very house? After the tour you can head up to the Philadelphia Free Library’s Special Collections and see in person the stuffed Raven that Poe famously wrote about.
