Concordia

Over the past 10 years, Alberta street has transformed into an anchor of Northeast Portland. As galleries, shops, and restaurants fill the corridor between MLK and 33rd, the neighborhood hood has sprawled north up to Killingsworth. You can follow our guide, or just mosey up either of these streets and discover lots of Portland gems—Alberta is completely saturated with businesses, while you'll find our picks a bit more scattered along Killingsworth. We're particularly fond of Hat Yai's fried chicken and drinks at Wilder, but almost any place you walk into will do you just fine.

Wilder is right on the corner of one of Concordia’s best pockets. It’s surrounded by some of Portland’s buzzier spots like Dame, Expatriate, and Beast. Stop in for a craft cocktail while you wait for dinner, or if you’re looking for a solid burger with your drink. The twinkling, wood-clad space feels considered but not over-designed, and the cocktail menu is thoughtfully designed by the owner and lead bartender. Wilder is so cozy, the reservation you made next door may become a distant memory.
