The Dupont Circle neighborhood, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is dotted with several landmarks and is home to embassies, think tanks, and families alike. Although largely undeveloped until after the American Civil War, Dupont Circle is now a hub of DC history and architectural styles.

Tucked away in a residential area, the Spanish Steps are, you guessed it, Spanish-inspired steps. The setting is very scenic, and is also located two blocks from a park. Added perk: they’re right by where the Obamas are moving after they exit the White House.
