Burnet Road

BLAST FROM THE PAST! The Burnet Road corridor has a lot to offer, most evident are its preserved historic cultural roots and diverse community that reflects the days of yore—1950s all the way up to modern times. It is known for it’s classic blast from the past look and feel. You could spend all day exploring the unique Vintage shops, Old School Diners and Burger Joints, as well as ogling the neon, painted, and carved signage. The funny thing is, there are Burnet road followings. A quick search will reveal how important this road is to Austin’s culture: Burnetroad.net. The version of Burnet road we have curated encompases spiffy spots close to: Allandale, Brentwood, Crestview, and North Shoal Creek south of where burnet meets 183 hwy. P.S. Locals pronounce the street Burnit, not Burnette.

Quintessential “sweet for the sweetie” or “treat yourself” place to go for a cupcake fix. This location is the flagship store and is silver like the airstream trailer in which they started slanging cupcakes. They feature a cupcake of the month: John Lemon is one of the most popular and recurrent cupcakes on the menu. It’s served during the summer and other random times of the year. Each flavor is perfectly concocted and if you can’t choose or want to bring the party elsewhere, grab or pick up a 6-pack. They come assorted, or you can get six of your favorites. Oh and by the way, they cater!
