Poble Sec & Montjuïc

Poble Sec Montjuïc is an area of wonderful contrasts: On one hand there’s Poble Sec, a neighbourhood that feels like its own little town, where beer and tapas bars are nestled alongside beautiful local shops. On the other hand, there’s the mountain of Montjuïc, home to the Universal Expo of 1929 and the Olympic Games in 1992. Keep an eye out and you’ll find beautiful gardens perfect for sunbathing and a wealth of cultural activities.

Don’t forget to pack your trainers if you’re heading to Barcelona! There are loads of areas in the city for runners, but the mountain of Montjuïc gets the prize. We’re not going to suggest any routes, because the ideal is to start running uphill and let yourself be amazed by the place! On your way you’ll be able to admire green spaces such as the Botanical Garden, the Greek Theatre, or Parque del Mirador del Midga or ‘Noon’s Lookout’ Park, where you can look over the stunning views of the port and the city while you run.
