Poble Sec & Montjuïc

Poble Sec Montjuïc is an area of wonderful contrasts: On one hand there’s Poble Sec, a neighbourhood that feels like its own little town, where beer and tapas bars are nestled alongside beautiful local shops. On the other hand, there’s the mountain of Montjuïc, home to the Universal Expo of 1929 and the Olympic Games in 1992. Keep an eye out and you’ll find beautiful gardens perfect for sunbathing and a wealth of cultural activities.

Sipping your Sunday vermouth outside on the terrace is fast becoming tradition in Barcelona. If you want to follow the local trend and you happen to walk past the door of Bar Seco, don’t be fooled by appearances – although it looks like any other bar in Poble Sec, it’s one of a kind. Head inside and you’ll be amazed by the friendly service as you sample some of their freshly-made, ecological, 0 km dishes. And when you’re done, eat to our health with a hearty plate of wild potatoes – delicious!
