Poble Sec & Montjuïc

Poble Sec Montjuïc is an area of wonderful contrasts: On one hand there’s Poble Sec, a neighbourhood that feels like its own little town, where beer and tapas bars are nestled alongside beautiful local shops. On the other hand, there’s the mountain of Montjuïc, home to the Universal Expo of 1929 and the Olympic Games in 1992. Keep an eye out and you’ll find beautiful gardens perfect for sunbathing and a wealth of cultural activities.

This gallery, which opened its doors in 2014, has one objective: to bring art to the public. They have conserved the building’s original structure and if you’re lucky, while on your visit you might meet a few people from the neighbourhood – who are always so friendly – reminiscing a lifetime’s worth of stories about this place. Made up of two floors, on the ground floor you can find exhibitions on emerging art, and in the back room, original works of art from their artists at accessible prices. It’s a must see if you want to take home a unique souvenir from the city.
