Charlottenburg

High-end boutiques, fine dining and elegant pre-war buildings are just a few things that make Charlottenburg such a charm. For those with less to splurge, the neighbourhood also offers up-and-coming Tokyo-style eateries, specialty cafes and indie shops that are definitely worth the visit.

Take a stroll around the 17th century castle and endless gardens that are especially impressive during the Summer months. Afterwards enjoy a coffee at Savignyplatz—a literary and performing arts hub pre-WWII—or perhaps an afternoon to shop the quaint boutiques nested outside the bustle of Kurfürstendamm.

There is no fault when it comes to these burgers—unless perhaps you’re vegetarian—in which case, the quinoa salad is a win. Enjoy the back patio in the summer (great for first dates) or peruse the Sir Savigny library when you have time to spare.

While still relatively new, the restaurant and bar boasts a fantastic atmosphere, delicious Scottish beef, and a prime location in the historic Charlottenburg. Located right near Savigny Platz, The Butcher is attached to the Sir Savigny hotel. If you stay the night, take advantage of the burger buzzer in each room. Burgers in bed? Yes, please!
