Bay Ridge

Bay Ridge gets it’s unique character from the locals that give it friendly but no-nonsense charm, and it’s color from working class immigrants that breath life to this sprawling neighborhood. In recent years younger design-centric folks like us who are moving into the neighborhood are giving it new dimension. Whether you want to picnic on the grass of owl head’s park with your falafel sandwich or you’re planning to cook a feast of exotic asian delicacies at our large Chinese Markets, you’ll find what you need, with some surprises along the way.

69th Street Pier (or American Veterans Memorial Pier) sports some of the nicest views of lower Manhattan, the Verrazano Bridge, and Statue of Liberty. You will find fishermen from all over NY trying to find the latest catch as well. Park benches are littered throughout the pier, encircling a large statue memorializing those we lost in 9/11. It’s the perfect location to sit back and relax, enjoy the views and you can even catch some fish while you catch some rays.
