Ujlipotvaros - the heart of Budapest Ujlipotvaros is located in the north of city centre. This area was rebuilt as a residential district in the late 1920s and is mainly dwelled by the intellectual class of Hungary. Lot of local people says it’s a separated small town in the big city. You can find different sorts of architecture here (but mainly Bauhaus type), which makes this district really unique. Ujlipotvaros’s vibe is given by lots of small bars, cafes, bookstores, florists and design shops.
Café Panini is a pleasant café on the riverside, close to Szent István park. It is set in a Bauhaus building, where paninis and fine coffee are made and served, and where you can also drink Hungarian Wine. In good weather you can sit in the terrace to see the Danube.
