Ujlipotvaros - the heart of Budapest Ujlipotvaros is located in the north of city centre. This area was rebuilt as a residential district in the late 1920s and is mainly dwelled by the intellectual class of Hungary. Lot of local people says it’s a separated small town in the big city. You can find different sorts of architecture here (but mainly Bauhaus type), which makes this district really unique. Ujlipotvaros’s vibe is given by lots of small bars, cafes, bookstores, florists and design shops.
In one of the most popular Bauhaus building beside the Szent Istvan Park you can find the DunaPark Café. Elegantly sleek interior atmosphere of the ‘30s evokes standards of the 21st century. At the night you can have a chill with your glass of wine listening to live music.
